The High Note Global Initiative celebrates artists that fuse music with human rights to promote social justice through their music, which like human rights, has no borders. Musicians hold a special place in society, as they have the ability to speak truth to power and inspire people to action. From education to extreme poverty, gender identity to racism, sexism to ageism, and environmental to personal health, musicians have been at the vanguard of the fight for human rights around the world.

Every year at an all-star High Note Honors Concert, The High Note Global Initiative in partnership with UN Human Rights celebrates an iconic artist who has promoted social justice for over a decade and present that artist with The High Note Global Prize.

Since this unique global award is supported by United Nations Human Rights, and renowned music organizations that include The GRAMMY Museum and Rolling Stone, it has been referred to as “The Nobel Prize in Music.”

Every year, to help promote The High Note Global Initiative, the social justice issue of The High Note Global Prize Recipient and the work of UN Human Rights, a celebrity-driven Cause Flash is launched on the date of the High Note Honors Concert. Each year’s social media campaign consists of the aggregated “Social Media Voices” (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram followers) of prominent individuals and organizations with specific cause messages that instantly reaches the social media feeds of a massive global audience of hundreds of millions of followers and fans. The campaign messaging is meant to amplify The High Note Global Initiative and encourage the public at large to help support the cause. Cause Flash messaging also invites the followers and fans to share the message with their own followers – further amplifying the Cause Flash around the world.
