HONORS CONCERT

The 2019 High Note Global Prize was awarded during the High Note Honors, a powerful benefit concert headlined by Cyndi Lauper to rally awareness and funds for the LGBTQ community. Staged on December 10th - UN Human Rights Day, a date supported by the United Nations' 193 Member States - the event took place at LA’s Novo Theater at LA Live. Following a star-studded tribute celebrating Lauper’s lifetime of advocacy for LGBTQ rights, a representative from UN Human Rights, alongside Kesha, presented her with the esteemed 2019 High Note Global Prize.

Joining Lauper onstage were prominent figures including Billy Porter, Brandi Carlile, Belinda Carlisle, King Princess, Charlie Musselwhite, Henry Rollins, Perry Farrell with Etty Lau Farrell, Justin Tranter, K. Flay, Emily Estefan, and Shawn Wasabi. Celebrated comedians Carol Leifer, Lily Tomlin, Gina Yashere, Margaret Cho, and Carson Kressley also lent their support. 

In addition, artists like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey, Dolly Parton, Lady Gaga, Kelly Clarkson, Dua Lipa, Kacey Musgraves, RuPaul, and Tegan and Sara donated exclusive items and experiences for a charity auction, with all proceeds benefiting True Colors United.
