HIGH NOTE

ABOUT HIGH NOTE

The High Note Global Initiative created by David Clark Cause celebrates artists that fuse music with human rights to promote social justice through their music, which like human rights, has no borders. Musicians hold a special place in society, as they have the ability to speak truth to power and inspire people to action. From education to extreme poverty, gender identity to racism, sexism to ageism, and environmental to personal health, musicians have been at the vanguard of the fight for human rights around the world.
THE ORIGIN

In 2017, David Clark approached UN Human Rights with the idea to create a powerful music Cause Brand called The High Note Global Initiative which would champion artists around the world who promote social justice with their music. Agreeing that a global platform to promote ‘music that matters’ would resonate both with the music and human rights communities, UN Human Rights agreed to become the Global Partner of The High Note Global Initiative. Following the UN’s lead, Rolling Stone and The GRAMMY Museum joined the High Note coalition to help promote the initiative within the music industry and to music fans alike.
